The Chittenden County Transportation Authority (CCTA) is the largest public transportation agency in Vermont, operating 16 fixed bus routes in the greater Burlington area, plus regional long-distance commuter routes and special services to assist transit-dependent individuals.
In 2011, CCTA officially merged with Green Mountain Transit Agency (GMTA), which operates local and regional transit services across much of the northern half of Vermont – Washington, Lamoille, Caledonia, Grand Isle, and Franklin counties, including the Mad River Valley, Stowe, and the Montpelier Capital District.
Our relationship with the Chittenden County Transportation Authority (CCTA) dates back more than a decade. We’ve been instrumental in helping CCTA improve the image of public transit in Vermont’s most populous region, convincing more people than ever to leave their cars at home and take the bus. Our efforts have helped CCTA increase its total ridership by more than 50%.
Year after year, we promote CCTA’s routes and services across multiple campaigns. We continually work to develop innovative themes and clear, targeted messaging within an evolving brand. Our work spans a wide variety of media: web, print collateral, advertising, signage, vehicle graphics, radio, social media, and promotional events. Our work has won several prestigious awards from national transit organizations.
We’ve also developed marketing and branding for CCTA’s sister agency, Green Mountain Transit Agency, over several years. Though its widely-varied regions and individual transit systems make for a unique branding challenge, our work has helped GMTA increase ridership and gain unprecedented public support.
